this is what i think camping is;
camping is when you hold your ground OUTSIDE your base (E.G. no mans land or enemy base)
if you are in your base and you are holding position it is called DEFENDING. so is this what camping is to everyone else?

Actually, I think its good that we actually have some discussion (or were trying to have some discussion until Ch3tan and others stepped in to halt it), about the actual game and what how people play it.
Damn sure makes a change from the usual dross and m00 shit that occupies 90% of these posts.
Why don't you just allow people to discuss what they feel like, if it relevant, rather than assuming that everyone has time to sit here looking for the next pointless comment that is going to spring out the mouths of the so called experts, as if they were the 10 f*ing commandments.

camping stems from quake1, where someone would stay around one certain weapon e.g the rocket launcher to prevent others from obtaining it and getting lots of ammo for themselves, so basically it means holding any 1 position/area.

Its not an evil thing, just as a knife isn't evil, its the people who use it that put it to good/bad use

But about the camping its kinda common knowlege now and any one can work out camping just dosnt have any problems in team game's as defence is really part of the game .

though when I play UT people camping over the redeamer or sniper riffle is annoying and they do rack up high scores which I would say is a bad thing .

I'm sure this has all been said over 100 times somewhere tho
