I saw this program on the aeroplane to America about the crab catching business being very dangerous. It featured machines much similar to the afforementioned cabbage crushing machine, and the accidents were very similar too. Isn't that interesting?

We had a guy cut his foot off by all but about 15% with a high pressure jetting machine here at work. I was one of the first aiders on the scene, and the bloke wasnt even wimpering (summatt to do with shock and being as hard as nails). We had to stop him from trying to walk away, he didnt really realise what he had done.

yes, I remember something like that at a plant I worked at. the bloke in question just sat there humming to himself with a tourniquet[sp] on what was left of his arm and shocking the hell out of the rest of us

no, the blokes arm got caught by a rotating drum containing some chemicals that were about to be squirted onto a high speed conveyorbelt into some machine iirc. anyhoo his arm got plucked off at the elbow
