Cabalist Template 20 - 40

Hi,

My Cabalist is almost 20 and I need to figure out what to do at my respec. So far I have been putting everything into Spirit with the default in Body and Matter.

Whats a good template from 20 - 40 and what should I spec out straight away. I'm still going to have to be good at PvE but I would also like to be able to have some fun in the BG's. At the moment if my pet loses agro I need to run or die as my Nukes/DoT are at such low levels.

I need to get this done by the weekend as my free level will push me over to 21 and I'll lose the respec :eek2:

Not that i have a cabby.. but out of expirience i suggest Matter spec till 40 or if you can find a respec stone keep it till 50... DoTs rule in the BG's since no1 has resists and you will lvl up very fast due to dmg shield combined with DoTs.. For RvR go full spirit or a split spec between the three spec lines which is quite popular in the american servers..

you don't need to have a template btw... equip your self with everything you can find

if you have a Buffbot go matter since the spirit buffs wont do much good with a buffbot in tow... if you dont got one stay spirit and spec 8 into Body that'll give you Disease and a decent speed Melee speed debuff for PvE mobs.. worked great for me in DF and Barrows some of them slow hitting mobs only get in 1 hit for every 3 of my pets.. which ofc helps...

For RvR i would say DONT go split spec until youve got a few RR's under your belt so you can buy some Mastery of Focus to bring your spell levels upto par with the targets your hitting, you COULD (and i say could but youll have no other RA's) get MoF 4 at 3L5 and thatll make you a good cabbie but youd only have 1 or 2 pts left... atm i have MCL2 Negative Maelstrom 2 and some Physical Defence to make up for my template not covering all melee resists cos i got a lot of TOA bonuses like 25% spell dur (very nice for Root or AOE snare) 25% buff bonus (swappable for summoning) makes pets hit easier on fully buffed peeps.. 10% cast speed (must imo).

once i hit RR5+ ill use my Respec Stone and go split spec i think.. makes sense to have more tools to play with (not talking about albs here) and makes a cabby more rounded in what role they can play.

Anyhow stick with it... cabbies are prolly the only class that has los of things to do in RvR and now theyre kinda Fotm most grps will readily take you in.
