C-Media AC97 & USB

just formated my pc and have no sound, in device manager C-Media AC97 Audio device has a yellow "!" mark next to it,i know this means it doens't work.. but why? ive formated my pc over 10 times and ive never even seen this device before, i reckon its messed up somewhere, updating the drivers doesn't work. my USB controller isnt working either

erm.. nope, i've never had to before either, plus i have no idea what mobo i have

under device manager the sound driver is saying

"the device cannot start (code 10)"

ah ok ive fixed it dled the proper thing from SiS site. I really have no idea where the hell is was getting thatC-Media AC97 thing from, it's totaly vanished from my device manager now too, strange
