That's the worst thing about the way the game seems to be progressing...

Soo many classes just aren't wanted / welcome these days...

If you've spent as long as many of these guys have getting the MLs done, designing, building and farming a damn good template, getting he rps and pouring all your energy and time into an alt... Only for a new expansion to come along and suddenly you're obsolete overnight...

That's a real sickener and game killer...

Hey, look on the bright side... By leaving, at least you get to join the ranks of us other retired old souls...

Its possible to solo and get groups some people just dont try. Ive been stealthzerged once or twice while solo since NF went live.

tbh this problem doesn't look universal, yet on alb@prydwen we have a bit too much of FoTM mania. Some say smite cleric is a gimp class, after 3 level 5s a 6 sec PBT, etc I decided to play some characters for fun, and no mater what people say about smite clerics, I enjoy it. And its worth more than being fotm for some time. One who chooses to be fotm and work for 15 minutes of glory deserves what he/she gets with changes. One who plays with friend for fun will grp with friend for fun even after such changes. Oh, fotm and *working* for 15 minutes of fame instead of playing for fun is a game killer? I think that is obvious

I only get to smite in zerg situations... in normal fights though, between healing/stunning/buffshearing there's no time or mana to spare on smite :\

If you want to play your cleric exclusively in keep seiges, then smite could work. Spec'ing Rejuv for normal groups isn't fotm, it's about being effective. In the same way you wouldn't want to group a shield/parry spec merc, for his crazy defence ability.

Some classes can make use of all three spec lines, others are kinda restricted.

I did try to get groups, asked PE/FL on occasions and got an immature reply from loads of members. Did ask AoD and they let me in if they had space, seems FL/PE only let guild or alliance members in their groups - typical. Did try soloing, was ok in Odin's until albs started to zerg there, then I ended up duoing with Wings, best rps I got

well not so strange people get selective. For me fi there is no fun in joining a group where half the people are afk and the class distribution is very bad. I don't mind loosing but i hate not having a change of winning
