Hi everyone,
A quick update with some more information on the league itself:
The inaugural BWT2L will be starting within the next 3-4 weeks, and, you have guessed it, signups are open!!
The BWT2L will be CTF ONLY, which I'm sure a lot of you will be pleased to hear.The format will see the participating Tribes split into division, the size and number of which will be determined by the number of Tribes that signup, so the more the merrier.
Matches will be played on Monday and Tuesday nights.
Team sizes will be the same as the Funcup, a miniimum of 10 and a maximum of 14. The games themsleves will comprise of 2 x 20 minute halves with the teams swapping sides at the end of the first half. We have not yet decided whether we will use the present scoring system or whether to go with points for caps only.
Points for game results will be awarded as follows: 3 for a win 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss. Depending on numbers there will be automatic promotion for the winners of the "lower" divisions, possibly second place playoffs against 2nd last in the division above.
The maps that will be played will be chosen from the current base maps, possibly with some others aswell, but, just to make it fair we will provide a list of maps to those that sign up and ask which maps they would like to see used.
There is a prize up for grabs for winning division 1 of the league, that being the use of a Barrysworld T2 server for the duration of the following season*. This is currently being fought for in the funcup with the winners having the use of it for Season 1.
The rules for the league are presently being drafted and will be available for all to see on the BWT2L website in the near future.
The one main rule that i will mention at the moment is that the Tribes that do take part must be based in Europe.
So for those of you that are interested in what will be the first league based Tribes 2 tournament (afaik!!) go to http://leagues.barrysworld.net/bwtl/ and get signed up
The signups will be open for the next 3 weeks, closing on 20th August. Although this could be subject to change, notification will be given.

If you are in any doubt whether you will be able to field the minimum of 10 on a weekly basis please consider the Tribes that can and do not sign up unless you are sure you can fulfill the requirements.
