That's it, you heard it from either UKCCL or Barrysworld or Wireplay first, BW are finally putting their names to 2 Quake 2 DM leagues. A 4vs4 Free league and a 4vs4 Mixed league. No euro limits. Similar flags to the UKCCL and we hope to be choosing some good maps for the competitions (yes there will be some custom maps but not total). The only reason we are posting before the site is ready is to grab a scope of the amount of clans that are interested, so we can get prepared, also to build up our admin team. So basically if your clan is interested in joining the league reply to this thread and if your interested in admining reply to this thread. Those wishing to admin plz leave contact details as well.

The league head admins are myself and Nightstrike, you can find us in #bwq2l on quakenet in IRC at most times. Cheers!

Also, I believe you already know, as it is in our IRC topic, that FED wish to join the free league.

I didn't make myself clear then, our IRC topic says "We're joining the BW league" so I assume someone has contacted you. I didn't mean it to sound like you should be checking our IRC topic for news :p.

hehe joe, I think I might still be banned from #fed.

Nope I'm not, just checked. Basically we aren't taking signups till next weekend, but I will keep you all informed through this thread and basically stuff like it. We've had quite a lot of interest so far but it would be nice if people would spread the word. Let's make this league THE Quake 2 league to be in.

What skins are you gonna be using?

I think it would be cool to get some nice ones done by a proper skinner, nice looking and easy to see. Surely you couldn't have expected to use UKCCL skins ;).

BTW what about me being an admin?

Joe I'll pop in to your clan channel tonight and if your on have a word to you about admining. As for skins, we intend for red and blue colours, of course not the UKCCL skins. We hope to make the skins very clear to see and still have our eyes open for someone to make them, any volunteers with a good backlog of very high quality skins?
