BW Servers Unpatched to V1.3

As you are all no doubt aware Version 1.3 was released recently sporting many new fangled bits and boblets. Unfortunatly, the BarrysWorld and BarryLeague servers are currently running Version 1.1 and are not accessible with Version 1.3. We advise you not to reinstall RtCW (Which is the only way of removing Version 1.3), but to wait until tomorrow. The servers are hopefully going to be upgraded to version 1.3 either tomorrow or Monday, either of which we'll let you know here.

I see that the league and public servers has been updated now, but how about the private servers? I run a clan server and I am waiting for it to become patched, but I guess you are updating the servers during the day.

I see PB wasn't running when i played a game earlier? I was never a supporter of PB for HL, however now that it is a part of RTCW officially, and of course there is no wide spread cheating in RTCW(i hope not anyway :uhoh: ), so imo it makes sense to run PB.

The only reason i can see for not running it is the extra bandwidth used...

PB isn't installed as EvenBalance have now started a license system whereby you have to pay them if you want to run a RTCW server with PB enabled that in some way is for commercial gain.

For public servers this isn't necessarilly an issue, but for league servers (where prizes are given away), clan servers now and potentially other servers in the future it is. We are enquiring as to the costs involved, until we are satisfied we will not be hit for any charge or have an agreement in place that is satisfactory then it is unlikely PB will be offered.

I should add about the Clan Servers - these should have been upgraded to 1.3 this morning, if yours has not then drop me a mail - bigfoot@barrysworld.com - with the server id and name of your BarryServer.

ALL Blue Yonder & Jolt Servers (I do mean all servers, Clan, bookable and public servers) have PunkBuster ON, as Standard.. Most ur public servers say PB is Enabled, but that is a lie as it is not.

If them pair can do it, so can u lot tbh..

Also, PB is installed within Wolf, as standard.

Because I did what a few did, and that was look for PB dl.. I, and others then noticed, when u start up Wolf and go to MP, u just enable it.

Jolt and BlueYonder may well be exempt from the new licensing for PunkBuster, as BW may be. But, BarrysWorld have had to enquire with EvenBalance as to our licensing position, until this has been resolved PunkBuster won't be enabled.

It'll be sorted out this week, I suspect.
