BW servers and Belguim cable

Thursday march 21, 2002 at 22:30 GMT we had a training on a barrysworld RTCW server nikita.barrysworld.com:28963 and it seems that the new patch doesn't allow people with cable connection to join the server. Some of those people had played the same day with the new patch on barrysworld and other public servers.
Other people with ADSL had no problems what so ever to connect to the server.

Is theire anybody who had the same problem
and second is their a solution to this problem.

I've never heard of such a problem and I can't really understand how anything as such could be possible. A connection is a connection, the server doesn't diffrenciate a cable or dsl connection so I doubt it could have been that.

Wierd one though, I must say. I'd suspect it was a connection issue with the new patch at a wild guess, some people have experienced problems with the new bugs.

Could you say what the error message they received was, what it said it console or anything?

Authorisation problems

Any one know how the authorisation process works.

I have loads of problems connecting to some servers mainly the barrys bookable.

I find i have a few servers that do this more than most and a few that never give me any problems at all.

and one that I setup decided not to let me in and the rest of the clan could get into it

I have rcon access to this server so am in a good postion to find out if its any server side settings.

I have gone through tons of stuff about routing etc I know I have a NATS connection on NTL and others who are on NTL with fixed IP's are ok.

I run XP pro I've tried firewall on off and configured ports I'm running out of ideas I would like to know if its a client problem, router, server setting.

any one got any ideas I can follow up on
