Is that from £700 to £3900?

Does he want a complete PC or parts (Self Build?)

I'm guessing he forgot to press shift when he typed the second amount and it should read £700 - £900. :)

How dare you mention Dell and Time in the same sentence.

Time = Fucking Shite
Dell = Dogs Danglies

Whats he going to be using the machine for? Business stuff or games playing?

I found it was cheaper for me to buy the PC than buy all the parts I wanted :)

It used to be that buying a pc bit by bit was cheaper, but (due to wonderous world of economic which i have studied) it is now cheaper to buy the whole PC

Its never been that much cheaper...its main advantage was getting the best parts although a good few PC makers now use the best parts any way :)

I find getting a prebuilt warrentied PC is MUCH cheaper.

Having a Dell engineer on your doorstep at 8am after a hard disk bit the dust that evening saved me a small fortune in lost business, not to mention time.

Try getting a part manufactuerer to do that if you have mail-ordered your parts and built the sucker yourself.

As Embattle rightly points out - you can customise your 'prebuilt' machine pretty well nowadays, even with relativly dodgy suppliers such as Scan.
