Buying from Housing Merchants Tip

As most of us know by now there is a howwibly annoying bug at the moment with Consignment merchants whereby any items being sold with long names (i.e just about anything player made) do not show the price associated with them.

One way to find out the price is to xfer all yer cash to a buddy/alt/bot whatever and then try to buy the item you want - the merchant will then tell you the price of the item which you cannot afford.

From there you can now make a decision whether to buy or not

Annoying to be sure to have to xfer cash but at least this way you can find out whether there are any bargains out there.

I'll log my alt in the housing zone - you can drop your cash on him whilst you check prices

he's got a dodgy net connection though....

(bah worth a shot - but just to say, use a low level alt for this and keep yer cash on yer mains - don't wanna see any more ripoffs going on)

SHOCKING bug isnt it? jeezus.. all that testing and this gets through?!!

main reason for housing being useful is for these merchants and the coding for text length is a pop up box is wrong?

it's part of 1.63 - nowt GOA can do about it ....

and it gets fixed in 1.64, fancy that.

Nowt to do with testing, we knew the bug was gonna be here, as with all the bugs the yanks currently have, we'll get them at some point, fun aint it...
