Buying Books

Right, I just discovered that one of the "Buy This Book" textbooks that UMIST want me to have this year costs £60. Naturally my student loan has had a fit at the idea and run away to hide in a small shoebox while I work out what to do.

So I've come here. Having used ComputerPrices.co.uk to compare PC part prices, is there such a thing for books? E.g. type in the ISBN and it'll give me the top 5 cheapest prices from a variety of retails?

Would be very grateful if you know of any :)

Thanks,

Ben

You could also ask people in the year ahead of you. There's also usually a book fair at mmsu around now. AND There's used books in the book-shop in the shopping precinct (uh :s ) near to the phoenix.

Also, buy the used one off someone who got really good marks the previous year and left loads of annotation in the margins.
