Busted Mouses

Does/did anyone elses mouses get busted/broke after long term play of q2 or any other game? Ive played q2 for about a year and a half now and i have busted 2 mouses. On one i have to click really hard to get a response, and on the other it has lost the ability to move up/down. I've cleaned them both but they are still busted. Just wondering did anyone else have any similar problems?

ive never suffered from a bust0red mouse before but then.

1) i cleaned my mouse regularly
2) i have an optical one now

Any microsoft mouse within reason (i.e. about max 2 years old) can be exchanged when it goes tits up, free of charge. After my explorer started fucking up, I phoned up, gave them the product ID, and they sent me a new one within 2 ish days. I still have the old one too, (not that it does me any good, it doesnt work).

erm, optical mice are shit... the sampling rate is piss poor and you cant do fast spins with em without looking like a rickets ridden spastic flicking straight up n down cos the tracking fux up. Get a decent logitech / raz0r n an everglide pad.
For those poor cunts who actually shelled out for an optical mouse (I can't stand explorers, the ergonomics of it don't even BEGIN to compare with a decent logitech..) tip for yas - laminate some 10mil graph paper, best surface for em...

Yes, it's quite shit for the quick spin things in quake2, but I don't play that anymore. Also I don't remember the mouse ever spazzing in counterstrike.

well I've had the same PS/2 mouse for 4 years and have had no problems with it

im suprised its not died actually as it has to endure punishment when i vent my annoyance at windoze on it..
