I need something i can use to burn films for personal use, backing up retail copies for personal use.

Nero isn't working. Maybe i need a fresh installation but when i try it gives me an error of needing a MPEG-4 Converter or some shit like that.

Are their any programmes out and about, easy to use that i can wack a film straight onto disk? What ones do you guys use, i've heard of a few but want your opinions.

It's saying nearly 4 hours now to burn an avi onto disk :| Surely it doesn't take that long?

Sadly, it does - least it did with my old P4 3ghz. Core2duo 2.2ghz I'm running now does it in under 2 hours. Also depends on the amount of ram you have available, iirc.
