last night i was happily playing and all of a sudden i got kicked out to the desktop and got an error message about the application not being able to read from memory.

ive tried re-installing but it still happens. i start BF and after the 3 intro logos it just goes back to desktop with memory mesage (

anyone else get this and resolve it?

i usually have to run the exe a few times to warm her up then on the 5th time it works

An old PC of mine used to run everything perfectly, except quake1 which would crash after 5 mins of play with some obscure memory error. After much sodding around I narrowed down the fault to one particular dimm. Quake worked just fine after replacing it. Weird though how everything else worked faultlessly beforehand.
