Bug Abuse at Keep Doors

known leeh for quite some time and i think i could safely say if this is a bug or whatever she did not knowingly do it - will tell her to look on here though and see if she can shed some light

didnt notice all the mids standing behind hitting a door she had just gone through cause it was still not down?

thought of that he might have logged inside the keep one day... and when he logged in again mids where raiding it... I don't really see any obvious cheating here at least

If that's the case then I'm sure GOA will have logs of it. Seems unlikely because this sort of thing has been seen a few times recently (there were lots of complaints of it on Sunday).

to me it seams just as likely that he have logged in a keep during a defence or something... some people have to go and sleep to get up and work and so ;p

not saying he haven't abused a bug or something... just that I think you shouldn't run around screaming "BUG ABUSER, LOOKIE LOOKIE HERE HE IS!!!" before you know if it was a bug abuse or not ;p

and yes ;p "BUG ABUSER, LOOKIE LOOKIE HERE HE IS!!!" was a bit exaggerated ;)

quite "known" bug abuse, if you have been patched to US lately you might have gotten the new keep modeles which doenst hace door 2 at that spot but a door at the tower. So imo bug abuse.

edit: or he thought door2 already was down :p

maybe so, but if he knew about it (which he probably didnt) its abuse.. as i said in previous post, he might have thouight the door was down already (as he never heard about it before) and just wandered in.

Could be lag , I seen tons of alb's and hib's run trugh doors and walls , casting like a mad..usely when u target em they out of range and go puff in a few sec's

I was in the grp with leeh on that raid, he was not logging in inside the keep, he went for the inner door and started nuking, suddenly he was inside and countinued nuking until he was death shortly after, he couldnt figure out how this was going on tho, i m sure he didnt attend to do it on purpose , nevertheless, GRT defending by Mids there in the end, 70 albs and only 15-20 or so kept the albs away for a while :)

i was there and imo the mid wasnt logged in the keep, i actually killed the mid in question that was casting to me it seemed like some weird lag through the door but maybe im wrong hard to tell but with 44 mids there and a few albs bound to be some lag.

If ur concerned post to GOA but i wouldnt say anything until anyone knows for sure its not fair as it could be nothing to do with the player.

Let GOA be the judge imo.

same thing happened as albs attacked the keep, some character kept running in and out of the doors hitting my warrior. Have seen it a few times now when defending keeps. It is definately a bug.

Simple answer: New keep layout. I wont describe here how to recreate this but it can be done on purpose. With the new keep layout there is no 2nd outside door and you can simply walk into the yard after the 1st door is down.

If it happens to you by acciedent you can fix it by doing a complete file check before logging in. If you see people walking throu the 2nd door like this and killing people report them. They're deffo abusing a bug and deserve the ban.

So if you got patched to US you gotta get patched back to EU, that would mean the whole patch and it wouldnt leave out certain files.
Those of you who have played around with the interface images files to try SI insterface before EU had it etc know that even those files will get updated if you start the game as it should be started, so I you still got the new keeps it means you are not starting the game as it should be started (bypasing the update) or you are altering the files after update.

or ? I dont know how to get this "bug" but it sure sounds like bug abuse, and not very likely that it would happend if you didnt alter certain startup procedures.


imo fry em all.

No afaik even doing a complete file check at startup doesn't solve this problem - the only solution is to reinstall and then I'd recommend setting your update.dat to read only so that you don't patch to US patch in future (of course you'll have to un read only the update.dat at the next euro patch).

ok sounds very strange that it wouldnt change that kind of files when it's being nazi about client side only bmp file ( same size and the real ones ).

after all it's mythic...

A guildy had it a while ago and a complete filecheck fixed it. He ran into the keep too but didnt kill anyone. Happend by accident to him but can be reproduced without too much hassle.

GOA cant do anything about it. Mythic wont do anything about it. Only way to get rid of it is report ANYONE using/abusing it.

Necro's with pet inside a keep while being outside themselves is that bug abuse? Saw them using the gatekeeper too....

If so, Rightnow report will be made.

Its possible. The patch before they moved all of the battleground keeps to face the ATK and the HPK, I patched to the US. I patched back by changing my update and went to Murdaigean. 6 of us were trying to take the keep, and I coulnd't work out why people were attacking the wall, and they couldn't work out why I have put up my ram behind the keep. The Lord was in the courtyard and people were floating around where their floor was.

Doesn't seem like this in this case tho ;)

this is a confirmed bug, yes. Abuse can and will lead to suspension, yes. If you see anyone doing this, report them to RightNow imediately. If said person did this unknowingly or accidentally, there will ofc not be a ban. but the RightNow report is still essential, so the person in question can get proper instructions how to fix it.

group with leeh quiet often, know her personallity and tbh, i dont think if any harm was done, it was done on purpose.

certainly wasent bug abuse though, because later that night in our group we took renaris and the whole time i was slapping there doors, she was right next to me pbaeing.

This might be bug yes but i doubt Leeh would use it knowingly shes such a sweet person =(

After we took Renaris we witnessed the same thing from an Alb that kept running into the courtyard , first we thought it was a lagghost , but the movement seemed too deliberate.

We also managed to cast on the person , this might be the reason we seem to get mezzed and dotted at the second door alot lately too , people casting on others "lagging" through the door...

Im wondering if these people do or do not see the second door tbh...

People abusing this should get the boot , no doubt about it...

known bugwhen u accidentally update to US patch, filecheck fixes it

I had the same problem once when i installed my SI client, the whole city of aegirhamn, and the border gates where gone.
this is a dangerous bug imho, cuz if i can get THAT by accident, it can be done on purpose aswell, and when u delete the keep architecture completly...well, then it's just a rush to the lord, u don't even have to care about walls or anything.

Anyways, point being, Mythic screwed up, their game is hackable, hope no one is gonna bother tho.

To the point, it might be lag, it might be the bug, but if he got torugh only that one time, and he dusn't repeat it, he seems clean to me ;)
