Hi all.

I'm living in a little studio flat and I feel pretty guilty playing loud music late at night so I want some good/cheap earphones. Or at least earphones where I get the most bang for my buck, like the Ti4200 was to the graphics card world a year ago! Got a crappy headset+mic jobby but it's falling apart and like the prodigious Scooba told us ages ago, it's better to go for seperate headphones and a desk mic because you don't feel stupid wearing them.

I did a search because I'm good and Sennheiser was mentioned a decent amount. They seem to have a pretty large range though I don't know what'd be better for me. I was looking at the list on HifiBitz and they seem to have a good few models in my price range which is ideally anything less than £35 at the moment. I just can't make any headway in choosing one model over the other and can't seem to find any decent review sites that compare them. HD212's were my first choice but customer reviews on various sites seem to agree that they have a very strong bass and I don't really like loud bass in my music. The others I looked at all have open or semi-open cups and I was really looking to block out as much background noise as possible. I'll probably be sitting at my PC most of the time and I don't want to hear the whine of my fan.

Any advice be good. I've checked ebay a bit but the idea of coming into contact with other peoples ear juices isn't too appealing, and most of the new stuff is about the same at retail prices.
