Fucking BT are wankers

Today my fucking ADSl was meant to be activated, i got up Early in the morning and started ringing around, after about 20 minutes of engaged tones and shit i finally got thru to someone

then this person said Activation happens at 6pm on that Day..

i waited, with stomach turning til 6pm arrived, i looked at my modem and the green light repeatedly flashed 9 times and went red once, meaning i hadn't been activated

So, i phoned BT up again, told them my problems, got redirected to about a few thousand places, in the end i give up..

Then i rang the fault phoneline place, finally got somewhere, they told me they have yet to carry out the Final line test, they said they will call back within the hour and tell me the results, the hour past and no phone call happened

i rang back, they said they havent done them yet, best to call back tomorrow.... WHAT FUCKERS!!!

They have really fucked me off :(

Hmm... i rang 151 just, Fault Report or somethin... anyway, i got thru to someone, who had a talk to me bout all this, anyway.. he said my ADSL is Activated, but he like me, is confused as to why the fuck i cant connect

So, he kindly volunteered to ring up the BT Openworld places, and he started laughing.. wanna know why...

because BT are fucking hopeless..!

On their automated Messages, it re directed him 2/3 times, before saying "Ring this number blah blah", so he does...

"Sorry, but Comet is now closed, please ring back tomorrow" ... this is also what i got, but i forgot to mention it in my previous Post...

so.... um.... he was confused i was confused, he gave me BT openworlds number which dont work? somethin like 0800 085053 <-- (can anyone tell me if they know the correct/similar number to this?) anyway, he was helpful, so im not gonna slag him off, because he was cool lol... but BT... ffs wake up and smell the beans... your hopeless OK?

Its tops Throddy, i've never had isdn so i can't compare the two, i guess if you can, get NTL or Telewest, i have NTL and me pings are usually around 50 on BW and me downloads are roughly 65 kbs, after the first month of hiccups(dodgy cable box)its now a dream to be on the internet, dead reliable and fast.Ask b00b what the 1mb is like, bah he's a lucky git.

Yeah to be honest bt adsl seems pretty much the same to me when playing games, it just seems to slow down at peak times, we've got BT at work and i aint seen much wrong with it and its only been down for 1 day in almost a year, i guess cable if you can get it(cause of the cheap phone and stuff)and bt if you cant.

Hang about - 7ms

Don't most games struggle to get like 10-15ms on a LAN?

Voodoo Magic ;)

Perhaps its down to the fact that Cable is designed to carry digital information from day 1.
