P2P stuff is crap, while you get unlimited downloads, they happen so fucking slowly, at peak times you're gonna get about 2-3kB/s, which is just pathetic, it only gets close to 100kB/s after about 1am. Other than that, our line is a bit unstable, wouldn't say they were rubbish, but not great either. Been with them since we first got broadband as well.
Anyone know if your ip is static with sky broadband?
I had a similar problem and it was never successfully resolved at the time.Just signed upto Aquiss, another entanet reseller, had quite a hectic week about this.
Basicly I keep getting dc'd every 2 minutes (literally) 24 hoursa day, ADSL24 said it wasn't them and BT sent an engineer out to replace all my sockets in my house and they did line tests at every point from my home to the exchange and reported no faults.
I'm 100% sure it is a fault on the line just one thats so annoying to pick up or find, i'm hoping when I change ISP and prove it wasn't the ISP after all BT will take a more serious approach and check everything over and over and over until they find the problem.
Main reason I chose Aquiss was Zenith, after Zenith told me about them being good I dug around the net abit and heard good things from alot of different sources + it was an entanet reseller so i'm hoping migration doesn't take that long.

I had 2 lines into the house; one for my broadband and upstairs office, the other for general phone use. The older line was the general phone one and it was useless for broadband. I kept getting disconnections, poor this and poor that. Couldn't play Daoc on it even. Engineers called and run new lines inside the house and did whatever they were supposed to do but never got it working properly. All boiled down to noise on the line. The new line I had run into the house for my office is and was perfect. Funny thing it is resolved now as they have carried out more work on the lines and exchanges locally but this is 4-5 yrs later. I have ditched my office line and have just the one line for everything.
How to solve your problem? Well if it was similar to my problem you won't. My line was also supposedly good when tested. Trouble is a new line costs dosh. Think it was a £100 at the time. Anyways some more info for you to talk to the engineers about. Maybe they might run a new line in should they run out of ideas.
