Um - some laughs but not for me.

Most of you will probably criticise it for the big American moral message but personally the more you can ram the message into people's skulls, that happiness isn't something someone else gives you and that helping others makes you happy, the better in my opinion. My main complaint is that the humour drifted too often into clicheed Carrey-isms.

In summary it's like 'It's a Wonderful Life' only shit.

(A dog on a bog is always funny though.)

I really really tried to laugh. And I think I managed it once or twice but by the end I was bored shitless.

I was expecting it to be great cos my sister phoned up telling me to see it. Last time I listen to her :/

The bit with the news reader had me laughing out loud but the rest of it was passable.

The trailers were funnier than the film itself. After the "Iv'e got the power" and the dog nothing was really funny. The story moved badly, and did he ever put the moon back?

Never been a huge fan of Carrey films (except The Mask and Dumb and Dumber), Bruce was a reasonable film that got a few chuckles out of me. The newsreader bit was hilarious though, I honestly can't remember the last film I laughed so hard at. That said, it didn't make the film, the rest of the jokes were just silly carrey-isms or had been in the trailer.

Ok film, might be tempted to watch again one day in the distant future.

self flagillation would be more entertaining than a Carrey film - for me he doesn't seem to have any depth of character from ace ventura to the mask to dumb and dumber he is just playing the same tired old character.

Its a crying shame he was casted in cable man - that film could have been so much better without Carreys gawmless attempt at acting

The bit with the newsreader made me laugh till I hurt.
I liked the film but was expecting it to be funnier. Still good though.
