Broken HDD Pin

Ummm!

Is there anyway to fix these that anyone is aware of?
Clean break on one of the middle pins, am quite gutted actually, its served me well :(

Trace the pin off the socket onto the PCB, do the same on the cable, and solder a small wire across each. Make sure the wire is long enough so you can unplug/plug, but no more than 10 inches or so. Plug in and away you go.

Oh, and don't bother if you're no good with a soldering iron. If you are, get a small tip.

Seeing as HDD cables are Parrallel (I'm assuming we're not talking SATA here), surely unevening the length of one pin is going to play havoc?

Not really, unless you made that wire about a metre long. A few inches will be fine. Just make sure its stranded copper, and not tin.

donkeh you could just take it in to your local tv repair shop, they will be able to sort it out for you. It's just a simple little solder, they could even put a new socket on for you.
