Does any1 know anything about digital camera repair? My Sony DSC p72 has a "sticky" zoom lense and i'm wondering where the best place to get it repaired would be and what sort of price I can expect :/

Oh and does anyone know if its safe to open it up to have a looksee myself? Because its quite possible its just a slipped gear.

I had a problem with my sony 707, my world wide waranty was over. (I bought it in the US and you get limited world wide warenty)
I just took it to a big sony retailer and they send it back to sony belgium.
The prboblem was intermiten and ofc it wouldnt happen when a sony tech was handeling it, so i had to send it back 4 times.

think they charged me like 40 euro the first time for transport and processing, when it became obvious the problem was still not fixed, I said i wasnt going to pay the fee till i was sure it was fixed.
Sony complained, I complained back... in the end when the fault was fixed sony paid me back the original 40 euro i paid as a compensation for all the trouble I had.
