<[ps]krypt> but when I try to connect to broadband it wont connect
<[ps]krypt> I went into settings and its a different modem name
<[ps]krypt> and that modem does not even exist
<[ps]krypt> the acutal ADsl modem can't even be selected even tho its in device managre
<[ps]krypt> Also, dunno if this is anything to do with it... on startup it says "PCT ETHERNAT CARD FOUND"
<[ps]krypt> but ive already installed my ethernet card.. and I can't find any drivers for this one

if you're using an external BB modem, the ethernet card in your puter takes care of the connection to the modem, while the modem does the umm, (de)modulating

imo you need to rftm and look for the settings with an external modem because i think you're using the ones for internal (in which case the modem is on a card inside your puter and you have no need for an ethernet card )

well the external modem connects via my USB port... this Ethernet card thing has just recently come up so thiught it might have something to do with it. Although the ethernet card is already installed... thus I have no clue why it is asking to install it again..

let's get some things straight

the only thing inside your computer right now are

- on 56k modem

The thing outside is an adsl modem, which connects to your puter via usb

?

ok no idea why.. but btbroadband is "dialup" when you turn on the pc... anyway thats not the issue.

When it sets itself up on the disk, uder connect useing it says "DSLWanUsb-Line01" yet in devices and network addapters, it says BT Voyager 100 ADSL Modem.
