Ooh. IMAX, eh? So that's what that big weird building in London is.

Quite fancy going there. I hear the screen is bigger than this: [------]

From: Imax.com

The IMAX Experience is the world's most powerful and involving film experience. With breathtaking images up to eight stories high and wrap-around 12,000-watt digital sound, IMAX technology takes you to places only imagined.

Basically its a fuckoff massive screen that fills very nearly your entire field of vision. People have been known to get dizzy watching some films, I saw an everest climb film on it, when the snow plummets towards the camera, you really do feel as though you're there.

"Unlike last year's digitally remastered Imax releases of Apollo 13 and Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones, The Matrix films will not need to be shortened.

This is because Imax equipment can now support films up to 150 minutes long. "

HOORAY! I was wondering how they'd do it. It seems the IMAX system's had an upgrade. :)

Yes and in some of them they even release smells from the seats just to round off the whole experience

Heh heh Summo, your home-scented experience is limited to 'watching sewage' and that's about it. :)

I went to the IMAX once, it was fucking shit.

:/

Had to wear these over-used 3D glasses; filled with AIDS.
There was very little to keep me entertained, just some cheesy music and effects.

:/

Imax is nothing to do with 3D - you just happened to watch a 3D film.
