Althought it sounds interesting, have they skipped the moral aspects here ? The human body is just an engine driven by the brain. So lets create an artificial brain then 6 months later just switch it off.

Its quite interesting to see what will happen and if this brain can function exactly like a person would it prove that the belief in the soul is incorrect?

Personally i like the idea of a soul, i like the idea that whatever anyone does to hurt you they can only hurt your body and not really get to the real you.

i aint no scientific boffin, but i thought a 'computer' can only know what you tell it? and if for some reason this 'brain' develops a way to think, well thats our fault for telling it stuff in the first place.

if we all die to killer robots that went bad, dont hold a grudge against em. its humans fault for creating it.
