The sort of bow, with wheels and pulleys, like that is a compound / composite bow. They are extremely powerful, very long range and high accurate, but slow to shoot. Try midgard.

I think Mythic have really got the whole bow thing the wrong way round.

Game speeds:
composite > recurve > longbow
Real speeds:
longbow > recurve > composite

Game Range:
longbow > recurve > composite
Real Range:
composite > recurve > longbow

Speaking as a former UK longbow champion (grins inanely), I do find this a little odd.

Give me a hand crafted wooden longbow any day, I like to use traditional weapons for some reason. Now just to find someone to make one for me hmm think they all died early 1800's tho.

He's the guys I get my bows off. Reasonable price, and made to your requiements, not off the shelf.
I've got two very nice longbows from him. Shoot very straight and smooth, and with a lot of power for the draw weight.
