Both proud and ashamed of my fellow Hibbies

Proud of the valiant defenders of Dum Crauchon, and those who tried to get in and help them.

Ashamed of the full group who entered Emain with me going to relieve Crauch only to change their mind on leaving Crimm and decide Crauch was lost lets go to Alb wall. For your information the second gate was still up when i got there I tried geting in others did also the defenders fought as long as they could and every single extra person there would have made a difference.

Well I hope those Albs you ran into near the bowl wiped you out and you got no RPs Hibernia does not need RP junkies like you, it needs people like those who tried in vain to hold Crauchon.

Have not named ya as you know who you are especially the ex ally who hunts with my guild on a regular basis, but if I see cowardice and selfishness like that again I will name the people.

Awwwww - don't be mad. It was lots of fun, really :)

You need a little more practice at defending those merchant keeps, so lets do it tomorrow again :D

Yeah i was on that dam second door lucky i was geting a lot of resist's to your AOE Spam nuking  .

IN the end it took us 3 - 4 attempts and a full regroup/rez for lord so anyone thinking they had lost that keep was a bit silly.
nice defence but i suggest you look up in the history of DAOC book under battle of bleadmear some good tips in there ;) .

Oh and plz let's not have this silly fighting DC is ours now just leave it alone :p .

Vendetta, Although you left the group, with someone still saying to to the wall, the group actually did not, although I waited around a minute at cruach while they got slightly distracted by mids (despite repeated pleas to ignore them, the albs were our problem) In fact one of them actually got inside (the pbaoe nuker who really should have been inside).

Dunno what happened to you after you left, but i can assure you that I was as upset as you were at the person (can't remember who it was now,it was late and I should have been asleep a while ago) who decided that cutting off the wall was more important than defending the keep, and also by whoever decided that mezzing mids and running past them to get to cruach asap wasn't good enough.

However the group did actually make it there in the end, although my carrying all that (bloody expensive) ebonwood up there was wasted, as I couldn't actually get in.

Well that makes me feel a whole lot better Armolas, as you say I did jump out of group quick up overhill to Crauch and died at it's gates nice to know the group went there in the end :).

was great fun :) the regular keep ping pong is really boring, but keep defending is always fun, no matter of the outcome..

i loved being behind my trusty onager :) even had a couple shots with it to the courtyard filled with albs until someone realized i was there shooting with it :)

me shooting :p

Would have been nicer if we had all got in, I got snared on the way up the hill though, and died out of ressing range. On the other hand the pbaoe person did get in, although I still think that in defense the cpl of minutes wasted by stopping to kill rather than mezzing enemies on the way in didn't help.

And the idea of cutting off alb reinforcements rather than heading straight to the keep at that stage, with albs on the second door was pretty dumb, and divisive but I think it was just late, and ppl were tired and making bad decisions.

At least thats the doubt that ppl will get the benefit of, this time.

how irritating

Cuth was up repairing the Onarger at the same time that you guys started your final charge onto the second door, then it was at 50% and we rushed to try to get wood for him but alas =|

A good rear-guard action at the alb wall is essential when we are fighting for Cru, take last night as example

We had about 50 peeps in Emain, came back from the alb PK after wiping most of their troops (they were not short on numbers either), 40is of us owent off to re-take cru and 10ish of us stayed at the wall

We held the albs a good 15mins or so giveing the cru team the time they needed to take the fort back - sure the wall team all died, but we killed enough albs that they sat around ressing and resting 10mins or so after our death by which time the "Forces of Hibernia have captured Dun Cru" message was on screen ;)

Had some of us not stayed at the wall, they would have had 40+ albs on our rear at cru before they were thru the second door

I would agree with you hatchet if vendetta was on about a raid, but he was on about a defence in which case everybody should be at the keep or in the keep. Easier to let them get to the keep and kill them there alongside the guard spawns.

rember bloody bledmeer!

After our entire tank force was wiped by pb aoe at the door it was clear we didn t have the men or gear to take DC. only force of will and every last powerpoint got us through that 2nd gate.

hint: 70% of the ppl sieging DC were bledmeer veterans. i remember all those names there... tells you something. taking a heavily defended merchant keep with not even 30 men takes determination, anything else is secondary.

/salute albion at arms

bledmeer was good basically cus we had right peopel there at the right time...i think we had sumthing like 5+ repairers and god knows how many seige peeps i don't think the Hibs had 1 catapult on the go..if they did it would of made sum difference. The AE nuke on the door that they use gets pretty painful after a while though :/
