Rant mode on...

Just to warn people there's a twit necro called something like Noobia in Lyonesse at danoin fishermen. I logged on and there was only a bot behind a rock with no-one else in sight. I was pulling for 20 mins when he turned up and started pulling mobs all around me :/ When challenged he said he'd been there for 2 hours and had only gone to sell loot (took him more than 20 mins somehow)!!!!

1) Bots who are not killing at a spot cannot camp it

2) If you leave a camp spot to do whatever, it is no longer camped.

I have been camped there before, went LD and logged back in within 5 mins to find it's been camped by someone already. Ok it's annoying but I wished the guy luck and went off to do something else.

This guy was from excal apparently so not sure if you guys act like this all the time but on Pryd I'd like to think we are a bit more friendly to each other than this :/

Rant off
Spleen vented...

Bleh, it doesn't seem to matter with most necroes. I know some nice ones and I'm not trying to tar all necroes with the same brush. However, the number of time I have been camping & pulling away, then 1 turns up on my shoulder & starts pulling the mobs from under me - well, I've lost count and I bet a lot of other people have. :m00:

But you guys have to admit, not everything is about CoC. Somethings are measured upon common decency. And can we all cry out which class seems to have the least of it regarding PvE? Aye thought so

This is actually something that occured to me a long time ago:

All necros aren't idiots, but for some reason all idiots are necros.

Yes this IS about common decency and nothing to do with the CoC. People need to respect each other a bit more in this game. I know there's alot of kids around (I'm not being patronising here as lots of younger players are great people) but I'd like to see a bit more consideration for fellow players.

I've partly noticed things go downhill since toa came out tbh. Seems to be alot of greed around and getting the fotm arti brings out the worst in people. We're all supposed to be the same realm after all :/

There's no such thing as camping a spot: all mobs are fair game, you just aren't allowed to attack mobs in combat with other players (unless you are grouped or have their permission). Nothing in CoC etc. suggests otherwise. However when I'm on my necro I have a personal policy of only "stealing" camps from other necros. :m00:

When you need to sell loot, you have to make a big trek all the way to Western Cornwall. And yes, as you probably know, that's a long walk. Secondly; while it's annoying, clercs spawn VERY fast, and just being at a camp doesn't make you the owner.

Sure, it's annoying as hell when your favorite leveling spot is 'taken'. But if you don't want to share it, go find your own.

Ok Oidche. So lets say I was at a certain spot on monday. I had to go and log off to sleep. But going by your reasoning on Tuesday morning if I want then I can go back and say to whoever is there "Sorry but I was here first"?? Don't you see how your reasoning is flawed? If you leave a spot then you cannot come back to it and expect to muscle out the person who's pulling there. And forget about the semantics of can you 'camp' or not. As I said before it's common decency. I wouldn't do it to you so I would kinda expect other people to be as considerate.

Also, I'm not talking about the danoin clerks, (altho they do not spawn fast enough for 2 necros either) I am talking about the fishermen hill. There's plenty of room for someone else to pull around the hill which I told this guy, but he was pulling mobs that I had targetted. Now let me explain a problem with sharing a spot with a caster class......

If two casters are pulling next to each other, the only way you can be sure that you're not gonna pull each other's mobs is by using /assist before each pull. This isn't practical and why should someone force you into having to do that anyway? Even if you did /assist before each pull you'd prob still tag the other guy's mob occasionally. So I'm sorry but I find that a bit obnoxious and I bet you would too :)

Ofcourse not. I didn't say he was 'right' and you were wrong, not at all. It's just that according to the CoC he did nothing wrong (unless he was deliberately stealing kills). Yes it's annoying, and that particular person is not the nicest necro on the server (I've seen hem a couple of times in newbie guildchat, think that guy is just a 14-year old playing 24/7). But if you encounter such a person, either move on or outpull him.

You might have noticed I play a necro too (and not just because he levels fast, I think it's actually a very nice class to play with a lot of roleplay oppertunities), and I know exactly what you're talking about, as I've had this thing happening to me. It's just that there's really no use in creating these threads; if I'd create a thread for each annoying person I met in-game it would get pretty 'full' in here ;)

on Camlann there are better solutions for this kinda discussions ^^

Camlann is infested with 14-year olds who just kill greys for the heck of it. People I 'met' there were in no way nice to each other. 733t sp34k abundant, intelligence not.
