This lovely man would like to say to anyone who lost anyone in London yesterday, something along the lines of, get on with it, you should have seen it coming.

Hats off to the emergency services yesterday. They ran in when the rest of us were running away. Just doing their jobs ? I think they outperformed themselves yesterday. :worthy:

erm no Mr Mandela was in prison then... If you are familiar with the SA prison system you will know he was allowed very limited contact with the outside world. Kind of dificult to organise it then no? He was the named head only day to day action was carried out by other delegated leaders.

I think we can safely say that he knew it was going to happen and COULD have stopped it, also the whole idea of bombing people was started under his watch, the fact they they caught him actually probably saved lives.
And no I'm not familiar with the SA prison system, if it's anything like ours he probably got the day off to see the carnage.

Just a thought it would be nice if the next rollover win was given to the worst off victims off this disaster, you could show your support by buying a ticket and
knowing you weren't gonna win at all.

Yes no doubt those things happened, and happen in all dictatorships around the world, but was the deaths of 10's of thousands of innocent Iraqi's in the invasion and the resultant chaos worth it?

If you add all the news reports together the semi-official count is 25,000, that's direct kills.
God knows how many have died as a result of the violence, breakdown of services and disease.

That's those London bombs going off every day for 2 years.
You can call me what you like for mentioning it, but deep down you know that there is something fundamentally wrong with putting that out of your mind and only acting with shock and disgust when it's white people who die.

You seem to forget that the majority of the innocent people you are talking about in Iraq was killed by fellow Iraqies or "martyrs" from Middle East countries using suicide bombers and car bombs. And they normally either target markets or Iraqi Police Stations where the only people around are fellow Iraqies.

I am a South African so actually if you are interested in facts and not overusing your imagination rather read up a bit about EVERYTHING than to spend your time posting threads of things you have absolutely no idea about. There is not one thread you posted that shows any sign of reality.

At the end of the day we all know London was a target, and will still be in the foreseeable future. Someone said something about the sever lack of Police on the streets. How long will it take to search all the bags of the estimated 3 000 000 people who use the Underground everyday? How long will it take for the estimated 5 400 000 who uses buses everyday? The Police and Emergency Services couldn't have dealt with it any better in my opinion. The biggest, and some time only weapon against terrorism is Intelligence, and the government didn't have any.

Now some people are blaming illegals, foreigners, muslims etc but the moral of the story is that the UK, especially London are probably the city in Europe that has the biggest variety of people.

If you look at the victims you will probably see that they are all from different backrounds and religions. There is Christians, Muslims, Whites, Blacks and Asians who lost loved ones.

It is the work of terrorists, they kill indiscriminately. It doesn't matter what reason they hide behind. You can't blame a Muslim for what a fellow Muslim do. Same with all others.

Why do they do this? So that some countries leave them alone? Take my country South Africa as an example. If the pressure and sanctions against South Africa by Europe and the USA wasn't there it wouldn't be a democratic country today. But it's fine because it has a happy ending. Take Serbia and Kosova as an example? No wait, it has a happy ending as well, no one said anything about the invasion there and the bombings because it's sorted.

So now all of you who blames UK and USA governments for trying to help other countries, did you say anything when they got it right quickly? But when the going gets tough it seems like you lot are the first to jump on the bandwagon to scream "Leave them alone!"

Rather than looking for blame have some sympathy with those who lost loved ones in this tragedy and thank the people who are doing everything in their power to make sure that something like this does not happen again.

I'm sorry for using my imagination and 'imagining' that Nelson Mandela was the head of the military wing of the ANC and that they blew up people (including babies), he was not 'directly responsible , as in he didn't plant the bomb himself, but to suggest he wasn't culpable in that atrocity in pure fantasy, people just don't want to believe it because they have built him up as a hero of the struggle against apartheid.

Mandela was directly in charge when the ANC decided on a lethal bombing campaign, it just amazes me that people can wipe that from their minds.

Old Tutu, love him or hate him has asked Nelson to visit the spot and apologise for that act of pure barbarism.

IT IS innocent civilians getting blown to pieces by people trying to stir up hatred and revenge, the whole of Iraq are not in the army, before we went there it was a relatively safe country, now everyone has a machine gun to protect their lives

You seem to have this down as an us against them thing. It is not. It is very complicated, plus you have tribalism between the different sects of the muslim faith. You have the brainwashed fanatics comming from all over the muslim world to take a pop at a yank. The fact that a dictator used to keep keep a lid on this by methods the stasi would have been proud of does not make it right.

As a brit who has lived in the Middle East for about about a third of my life I can tell you that these people do not represent the Muslim faith in anyway. I hope that there are not repercussions by gangs in London. They are nothing more than brainwashed halfwits that are being used by evil people.

Iraq will be a better place for a vast majority of the people that live there. If Iran/Syria can be stopped from interferring and the insurgents stopped from entering and those in the country hunted down, there is a chance peace will come.

I did not agree with the war when it happened because I knew what the outcome would be. The only way forward is to restore peace in Iraq, pulling out would create a far greater mess.
