Boerd INF need some respec ides

then get a big, bad ass gun, jackhammer, pheonix, or whatever

Then charge in rambo style and kill as many as you can before dying.

Don't throw away your infil suit until you've tried combat engineering. There's nothing more fun than sneaking up behind an enemy, placing that boomer and pressing that button.

Combat engineering is much more worthwhile than adv med. I've tried both.

well reviving squads members at CC or where ever are uber saves time and the squads dosent split up ,,, have caped bases coz of advmedic no respawn places and we still manage to cap ...just revive and they are fit for fight again

C-eng are usless imo might be fun but wount help yer squad

Combat Engineers are FAR from useless, but then I'm biased

Spitfire turrets are a distraction to draw fire from "real" people, and also to point a big arrow at incoming.

Mines are great fire & forget kills, you can have 20 out at a time. Drop a couple on that road you just crossed, sneak into the enemy base, mine the vehicle terminal off-ramp, and entry ways, mine the front door, and the top of the stairs on the outside. Kills pretty much guarenteed. Mine the base entries for vehicles, always have them at least 2 deep - most vehicles will fall to this.

Motion turrets, Hmm well I know what they're supposed to do, but dont really use them much atm - better things for my ACE's, such as...

Boomers - Lay the mine then get the detonator in your hand, press to fire it Until last night I thought these didn't work, there's no explosion or anything. However, when someone walks over it, its a guarenteed kill on everything except max's, and usually them too if their armours been damaged. These are fun too, and you can blow them from anywhere. Lay a boomer, run round a corner, pop out of stealth, run back round, and blow it as the enemy takes aim Lots of fun to be had


Loving CE at the mo, may get a max to change into when the defense of a tower goes wrong, but the stealth comb engineer, with melee booster implant (for when those ACE's are low) is damn fun, ads long as you dont mind dying when you do something silly.

On the other hand, na - it's crap - dont try it, dead dull and all that. That and the fact there's be more mine space for me

who says you have to be a combat eng in an infil suit?

always thought the best hackers, best engineers and best medics were those who could contribute with fire in a stand up fight, and then patch people up afterwards

Combat engineer, with hacking - carry 4 ace's and a rek - never a worry on running out, resupply at the local unfriendly hacked terminal.

Of course I have an agile set up with lots more ACE's for when I dont need the stealth & have more time, but the stealth is invaluable to my own playstyle. Which is causing havok behind enemy lines, and giggling

I don't know what happened to the boomer explosion. I think it may not be displaying with the lower graphics settings.

I tried laying a boomer. then triggered it to see what it did. Nothing happened. So guess what . I layed another and stood over it to see what it did.

OH and i was tempted to get an infil suit again but they're jsut too easy to spot...and i can snipe moving targets quite easily...in fact i actively aim for the infils cus i know they're one shot kill.

Hehe Bone, that's exactly what I did, but I used my wraith as the target And my graphics are up medium/high, and I dont know anyone who can see the explosions.

The main reason I chose inf suit is because it was cheap. Meant I could get eng/comb eng, hacking, inf suit, wraith at BR9. BR10 now, so dropping wraith and picking up a max for tower defence I think (not 100% sure which to go for tho, tried them out in VR, and still not convinced).

Again, I'll use the max until I can afford reinf & med assault, and heavy or special (long way away, so not compared them much).
That way, I'll be able to stealth attack, and also be a grunt with bombs.

With a 24hr respec option, temporary specs are perfectly useful, and also allow trying out different playstyles.

Besides I got a bit sick of being TK's last night, just because I was a stealther in a base. A damn reinf killed me after opening fire out in the open, so I uncloaked, he stopped, came closer - then killed me... No way he couldn't have seem the green then. It can be a little irritating when the nearest spawn point is half a map away, but, suck it up & carry on Bring on the max. TK me in that, well - we'll see

I think mine displays OK.. Had a class moment with that the other day.

Me and Venom respawned in a base that the enemy (NC I think) was trying to hack. We're the only 2 people there, everyone else is half way across a continent. I'm a combat engineer and don't even carry a gun but he's a heavy weapons grunt (we're actually a tank team, but couldn't get out to vehicle pad).

So I get killed a couple of times trying to get out. I only have agile armour so it's not hard.

Then I sit in the spawn tubes, place a boomer by the door (last ditch attempt, never used those before) and wait.

All of a sudden, door opens, someone steps in, turns to aim at me, in a panic I press the button...

BOOM! 1 dead enemy! Worked perfectly.

Of course, they didn't fall into that trap again unfortunately, but still, felt good to kill em when I didn't even have a gun
