Anyone know how much better BNC connectors are than the standard 15 ping things? I'm looking at a new monitor is it worth paying the extra to get these?
I've never used one, though I'm aware of that 'they are supposed to be better' vibe. Shielding and signals and suchlike iirc.
Most 'good' monitors are usually featured with a dual hookup, so I'd advise talking some shop out of a cable to test it and see what your own eyes tell you mate.
I've got a BNC connector in use on my 19" Taxan Ergovision 975 TCO95. I used it for so little time on the 15 pin VGA cable that it wouldn't really be fare to comment right now but I'll have a play around soon and let you know if there's a difference.
