/agree with Fyric.. or alternatively shar with same stats, difference is higher hits, lower str on shar, higher str, lower hits on firby - roughly.

mm kinda depends what you want i guess. id say thrust is the best spec option now, and celt/firb aren't so far apart for that spec.

firb is nice for the high str in case you ever want to respec blades/blunt, but then again you get targetted instantly and celts look better

for thrust, go celt/firb, for blades/blunt, go firb. if you want to do small groups or solo a lot with blade/blunt, go shar with con at creation

Well the common spec is malice and battler, so really any of firby, shar or celt will do.

Celt or Elf if your going pierce, but much harder to get a fully capped temp.

ok since obviously I'm totally out of touch with Blademaster specs, what are all the blademasters running around with now then?
You say pierce spec so what wpn combo do they use now then?

BMF mainhand for the slow swing speed and other can vary, but CTD is common i think.

malice/croctooth
malice/ml10 slash offhand
bmf/croctooth

Imo there are no real "common" weapon combo's, as I think they vary a lot.. he has a point that malice/battler are very commonly used, but lately more and more have begun using other weapons.
