Blueyonder being shit?

I've been using blueyonder since about last November, recently upgraded to 1mbit, been fine for ages etc. etc. but for the last week or so, i've been getting absolutely shit pings in games and such. Doing a tracert to one server resulted with :

Doesn't look particularly right, imo.

Any ideas what's up?

Bad ping on the first hop - which I assume it either your gateway machine (if you use one) or the actual UBR itself.

If it's the former, then fix your gateway machine. If it's the latter, fuck all you can do till BY fix it

Don't use a gateway, and what's the UBR?
A mate in the same area isn't having the same problems, despite some saying it might be high usage in the area.

You'd be best off checking with BY if there is any known problems, or at least letting them know about it... tbh, there's probably fuck all you can do but wait if it's their problem :[

You're probably in the same boat as I was for ages with ntl, isolated problem that's not considered serious enough for them to make any fucking effort whatsoever to fix :|

Never e-mail em, ring em. Last time I e-mailed to say the Croydon area webcache was fucked & the main one was throwing up random DNS errors, they e-mailed me back saying

"set your webcache to the BY webcache at blah blah blah"

well you get the idea. When I rang em they actually managed to admit it was cos there was a bloke on site tinkering with the boxes.

A friend said it might be high usage in my area? Although that really seems unlikely, and other friends in the area have had no problems.
