Feasts suck these days, the chocolate is cheapo and the icecream is even cheaper.

I love the prices they charge in the motorway services, where its about £15 for a sandwich.

If we're ever stopping for something to eat, we find some junction with a nearby village and just go their instead for properly priced food.

Everything around motoring in this country seems to be geared around making you as bankrupt as possible.

If you can find one with a M&S food store in you can get a half decent ham and mustard sandwich for under £2, the same sandwhich next door in the newsagents is £4 the robbing fuckers.

Yes. Clearly it's the ice-cream that's overpriced at Petrol Stations....

M&S and Waitrose in motorway service areas is the greatest thing to happen in the last ten years.

Have to agree, lower prices and massively superior quality/variety.

They were bought out a few years back, I recall an interview on the radio where the new owner/chairman/whatever claimed a desire to change from plastic tablecloths to something half decent, and at a fairer price.

I haven't been to one in many years so I've no idea if they still charge another quid or two for an extra slice of toast. The cunts.

You can usually find a petrol station or eating place within a mile of most motorway junctions and not suffer the inflated prices.

For example, if you're driving past J43 on the M6, pull off and pay a visit to Tesco for your eats and fuel. It's cheaper than Tebay or Gretna services. Tebay however have a cooked breakfast to die for, especially at 4.30am. :)

You're clearly one of those imposter Scots from just over the border.

Yup, he's a right Tweeder.

(That sounds like something TdC would request (sorry, demand) his young boys to refer to him when he performs the bad touching.)

The prices in central london reflect the higher rental prices the stores have to pay rather than rampant profiteering.

Tbh finding a petrol station in central london is getting harder because most are shutting down as not profitable enough and they need massive cash flow to buy in fuel.
