lo peeps, some of you might know me, I am Pikeh Boo, a lvl 31 (nearly 32) NS.

Recntly, i respecced, and my stats r as follows :- 29 cs
28 blades
20 (+5) stealth
11 envenom.

i was wondering , if any bladeshades out there could solo yellows, because, i have yet to try and i dont wann lose the XP i have so far, becuae i am near ding, ty for help

depends on your equip at 27 i was so gimped (equip/spec) blues would take off 3/4 of my life but by 35 was taking yellows with very little hp loss...

are you saying you do more dmg as a bladeshade than a pierceshade?

Interested as I've just started a new NS

well, i as a BladeShade, i wouldnt say i did more dmg than a ThrustShade, but saying that ive never played one :-// , as a BladeShade, you wil have to Max out ur str with magic items, cos unlike thrust which is dependent on Str, Dex, and Qui, Slash is just 100% reliant on STR :-// at lvl 31, my Capped Maxed STR was 96, which as a NS is not bad, but i would say that ThrustShade is more dependable....

I am not sure how much this is true but bladeshades will outdamge a pierceshade early on in the game but at the high end the pierceshade will always do more damage even if u have str maxed out this is due to the str cap which i think i based on your base str which for a luri/elf is only 40 + (whatever points u point into) which is not much.

Dont let this stop you from continuing your blade shade do what u like i think its cool that people make chars that dont follow the "uber" template.

That is not true a bladeshade will outdamage a pierce shade even at high level.
Been a bladeshade since respec and in my opinion pierce is like void, it looks very good on paper with the styles and all, but ingame blades beats pierce.
I remember hitting a shadowblade for 120 once and right after respec i hit the same shadowblade for 247 (think his name was adder or something)
My only concern when i respec'd to blades was the loss of diamondback, but with the huge increase in damage the loss of diamondback is nothing
Just make sure to cap strenght and if you happen to get a strenght buff before you leave ligen you will rock
Not to mention PA's around 550 as normal and 600-700 on casters
It all depends on how you play and what targets you go after, but for me i allways end up fighting ohter assasins and im no longer afraid fighting them 1vs1
Allso fought some alb healer type last night and when i PA'd him i got a 440 and a -80 :/ so pierce might have been better there but i rarely meet that class alone anyway.

Blades will outdamage pierce... versus the right targets, it's all about the resists. Blades damage is better against leather and Midgard studded armour, Pierce will be more effective vs Alb studded and chain. Pierce takes better advantage of your naturally higher Dex, blades has slower weapons available to deliver bigger PAs and more frontloaded damage. There are some very effective bladeshades out there, some of the more conventional pierce shades aren't too shabby either.

Personally, I play a pierce shade alt and respecced my blademaster main from blades to pierce - but not because 'pierce beats blades' but because pierce was better for my personal fighting style and RvR target selection. All of which is kind of what opin was saying anyway...
