On my stupid attempt to make every char I can in Hib, I've been reading some BM threads, so a couple of questions popped up... :)

If I spec blade, 50/50/28, why would I need +blades in template if I use only CD styles? Only useful styles I can come up is Fire Blade-Spectrum combo to dehaste a tank... So does 50+11 blades make difference if I use only CD styles?

Why do some people prefer CTD over Battler? Isn't the slowest weapons the way to go? Does CTD stat drain stack with spec buffs?

Someone claimed that ML10 weapon bonuses stack over 10% (style/melee dmg). Is that true?

How much difference does in example 200 and 250 dex have in purposes of defense for a BM (evade/parry)?

Gonna make a firby blades BM in the future, and I want to clear things up before I start gathering his template :p

One more general melee question more...

Do different level weapon styles have differences? In example, is CD level 12 Blizzard effect and CD level 50 Supernova dehaste effect the same, or is the lower level style effect weaker?

No it shouldn't make a difference if you use CD styles only, however best styles in blades spec imo is the backchain which has very high Growth Rate, dunno how much it is used tho since you have the backsnare in CD :)

Slow mainhand fast offhand for haste effect and higher dmg over time, and no the stat drain does not stack with d/q spec

no idea it's something in the order of every 20 dex is 1% extra parry chance or so, but don't take my word for it :)

I know there is a difference but I'm not sure if it's dependant on lvl, I do know that for example the slow effect on lvl 4 blades style is overwritten by lvl 15 style, but if other way around you get "target already has that effect"

+11 Cd will give u higher weaponskill , alot more than the stat ure damage is based on ... lets say str for example if blades/blunt , so u will hit harder and more importantly miss alot less :D

Malice/croc blades or blunt is the optimal weapon setup imo , but i have made a good high hp/resists bm template with malice/battler , only downfall is that no +qui and not capped melee spd , still i aint seen a better one without rogs in it yet :eek6:

I recall seeing some where a style list that had different effects described very accurately (bleed xxx/tick, slowed xx%, snared xx%) but can't seem to find it anymore :(

And Punishment, I will ofcourse be capping CD and STR as high as I can in my template, was just trying to decide whether to use +Blades in template at all :)

Spydor's Web for the majorly techy approach

Char builder is as good as anything for weap effects etc

Still no details on weapon effects on those links :(

I'm pretty certain they have differences, just like Eredrins test shows.

Well +blades effects ure weaponskill just as much as +cd , so ...
