Afternoon all,

Quick question - in Q2 and Q3, mouse1, mouse2 and mouse3 are all pretty easy to bind but how can I bind the 4th and 5th buttons on a Razer Boomslang?

Cheers,

Lez

I might be being thick but I can only find 4 buttons on me Boomslang 2000.

One either side of scroll wheel and two either side of mouse body.

My understanding is as well that in fact only 3 cponfigurable as the side buttons are both Mouse 3 and depend on whether left or right handed as to which one u use.

Ahh hold on - scroll wheel counted as button 3 on Razer mouse menu. 4 is the side buttons I mention - if u click on your config TSR icon (bottom right hand of windows screen next to date n time etc) u will bring up menu. Note that button 4 shifts depending on left hand/right hand selection.

If u want to configure for use just go into Q3 key setup select function u wish to bind to a press mouse 4 - it will register as mouse 3 as scroll wheel registers as scroll up/down.

Note however that is instant action only - ie u cant bind zoom to it as u cant press and hold ie mouse only registers single press - will not register that u r keeping it depressed.

Hope this helps - let me know if anything unclear.

I think new driver pack sorts this problem m8
try the update bit on the buttons tab in the razor program
2.0.12 is the one i use and i can bind anything

Hey mf (as in mancfrag not mutha...... lmao)

N1 m8.

I will try it out and see - could do with me zoom on mouse.

What I have done in the past is script my config to allow one button press to activate zoom - press again to deactivate.

Advantage of this is u can also set FOV (field of view - ie amount u zoom) to increase and decrease by using scroll wheel - multiple zoom ranges - nice.

Cu soon,

All you need to do, is in the Razer customizer, (the systray icon) bind the fourth and fifth buttons to keys not in your config, eg f5 and f6 or whatever, and then bind these keys in quake2/3 to whatever you want.

i.e. bind f5 "weapon 5"

then whenever you hit the right or lefthand button it would select weapon 5.
