BIG probs with D and E drives!!!

hello al i have a D drive prob. i shut down my pc and then the next morning i woke up and found the the D drive was missing (no 1 stole it!!!) it opens and shuts but i can find it?? and when i whent 2 add new hardware there was an ! beside the 2 D drives and E drive?? wtf did my pc del them??

It would help if you said what the drives actually are. I'm assuming that they're CDROM drives.

Check you haven't installed any software that emulates a cdrom (ie virtual).

It's possible the IDE cable is loose. Try making sure it's fully plugged in

If both the "missing" drives are on the same IDE channel the IDE cable might be lose at the motherboard.
