Some Site said:
The golden orb weaver is not the largest spider in the world, but it is one of the creepiest. The Internet has been abuzz over this mammoth spider, a native species in Australia, after a photo showing a spider eating a bird began circulating via email.

The image was captured by a resident of Cairns, Australia, who saw the gruesome display of nature in his own backyard. In the image, a chestnut breasted mannikin is being devoured by the giant golden orb weaver. A mammoth spider eating an average sized bird is a creepy visual to imagine, how awful it must have been to see for real!

Thats awesome!
Wouldn't want to find that in your toilet bowl eh :(

Spiders make a hppy/lucky home, but that kind of a nest is a wee bit too much luck for my taste.

I don't need the full hump-of-luck, i'll settle for a blowjob of luck.

Snakes > spiders

In what way? There are spiders just as dangerous as snakes...if they bite you....having said that the most dangerous lil bastard imo is the death adder....fastest strike known to man an it's venom (neurotoxin i believe) packs a fatal punch.
Basically if your in it's strike range an it wants to bite you...your gonna get bitten...it's to fast for you to see it coming and react.

snakes can what? choke and bite..?

Spiders make most devious traps. they are usually smaller, scares us more and look dangerous as hell. Snakes < Spiders

For sheer cool factor, spiders > snakes.

I still wouldn't want that spider nest in the corner of my bedroom though. That big one really brought the Alien Queen to mind!

Agreed. Tho, living in Sweden i generally don't have to fear spiders nor snakes, mwahah.

It has happened a few times, that a smaller spider has spun a thread above my bed and wind itself down towards me just above my head (an inch in diameter tops), thus making me freak out and hunt down every spider in the room (discovered lots of webs in each corner of the ceiling). My bro also alerted me of a spider winding down above my head when i sat by the computer.

The giant snakes can swallow sheep. Whole
Snakes are blindingly fast. Some of them can spit their venom in your eyes metres away from you. They come in all different colours. Some of them are really quite attractive. You can keep non venomous ones as pets quite happily. Who wants a funnel spider as a pet ? Sure some spiders can give you a nasty bite, but when it comes to toxicity, snakes are in a league of their own

sizewise spiders eat bigger compared to weight i bet. and probably size. some spiders can jump 40 times their own length. spiders can fly, "fish" - make traps(some even make wire-traps for prey to trip):

, hide in tunnels and run fast. And bite hard.
8 legs > 0 legs

this is an invalid comparison,
it's like choosing between brunettes & blondes
you cant just choose, it's down to the indivudaul blonde or brunettes...
same holds true for snakes & spiders.

btw anyone know wich is the most dangerouse snake in the world ;)
and wich is responcible for most recorded deaths ?
