Do you have anything running in the background when you are playing DAoC on your new pc?

You might have to consider the possibility that the card is broken. Does it seem to play well with other games? Also, check the options for the card and try to disable some stuff (with radeon cards its usually best to disable the feature called Fastwrite, not sure if nvidia's cards have something similar).

not at all

Uninstall the graphic drivers and then install nvidia ones from nvidia. The stuff that comes with the cards is el'crap.

Try this out too:
http://www.driverheaven.net/cleaner/

Please read the readme file before u use it.

PS The prog has a .cab cleaner, this deletes/clean the windows of all drivers for nvidia etc. It can take 5-10mins to complete, just go get a coffee or something.

As a last go, go get the 65.73 drivers. They're beta tho, link below is for WinXP

http://www3.fujitsu-siemens.com/services/homepc/video/nvidia_6.5.7.3.exe

Check if your gfx card is ok - click Start -> Run -> Write dxdiag and run it.
Click on display and then test DirectDraw and Direct 3D. If it freezes or show something crappy, your gfx is 90% failure piece and needs to be replaced.
