Big 1200 word Hero guide!!!

At last ive finished my big hero guide. Ive got inspiration by the guides out there so if you recognize some things its because ive stolen them

Ive made sure Ive added all my inspiration in the thanks section though.

Must also thank Tank as ive bugged him a lot with questions and he has been very helpful!! YOU are my hero Tank!

Large weapon
LW are slower and do less damage than Celtic Spears. The styles are a bit strange and hard to use ( many side positional styles etc ). The advantage is that they look very cool

Thanks for your kind words Tusk! Id very much would like to know what parts you dont agree with. Hey, I might have got it wrong! I intentionally didt write the overmodest guide that at every turn says:" you can do this, youc an do that", "I think that this is nice but there are many other ways.. ". I think such guides are a bit boring. I instead went ahead and wrote down what I like. And just stated in the introduction that there are other ways to play. People tend to understand this.

But there are a lot of improvments possible in my guide. I welcome a discussion so if you think you have valuable input I would welcome it very much.

I respect all the high lvl heros out there!

Nice work, just a little details need fixing

Kill tasks: You get the number of killtasks equal to you lvl. At lvl 5 they give U 5 kill tasks. And also they give 50% of your lvl (seems higher since you get exp for killing the mobs

Mezz: Since patch there are no stars. Theres ZZZZZZzzzzzZZZZ

******This is a defence mechanism that really will hurt you! But it can save the life of a healer/nuker if used right. Activate intercept by selecting a member in your group and press the intercept button. Intercept will then be active until it triggers and you have to reset it. If the person you intercept for gets attacked there is a chance (risk?) that you’ll throw yourself in front of the blow and thus absorbing the damage. This only works if the person you are intercepting for is quite close and I think you have to be turned towards the person. You also take rather a lot of damage yourself as you get defensive penalties for doing this and the evade/parry/block won’t help you.******

Ive tested intercept quite much and this is what i made out of it ..
you only intercept if you are in range (think its about 350) and if the blow that goes for the one you intercept is accually going to hit the one you are intercepting. so if the mob hits hes/hers/its bt 3 times you wont intercept wich btw would be a big bug if you did. another thing is that you CAN block/parry the intercept but the variables for this makes the chance about 10% first: you must be in block range of the foe not just interceptrange coz these 2 are 2 different ranges second: you must be facing the mob that hits the one you intercept coz as you all know you cant block/parry things that is behind you or attacking from your sides. Third: as the block ratio for multiple blocks is quite low atm coz you are prolly already guarding one other already you NEED a large shield for it to work. so you can block/parry the intercept but its about 1/10-1/25 chance that you do .

I don't play a hero (yet) so cannot comment on the content but I can comment that this is another good Bedroc effort (there is a guide on his guild's website about the Coruscating Mines and know he was doing an EZ one as I was grouped with him and he kept running to funny places to get screenshots). Whilst I cannot comment on the content (although I though LW were quicker than spears in speed), it is easy to appreciate the time and effort that has gone into this.

PS if you ever do a 1h/shield champ version I want copyright payments

Btw add that LW´s lvl 50 style rulez, Annihilation rulez, both 4 charge fleeing ppl as charging (read below)

Try it, go THROUGH the enemy while facing em, and hit /face or /stick, and then Annihilation, if u got good timing (not that hard than Backstab) u´ll got it off, and it´s long stun = 2 free blows. If u go BARELY behind the dude, /stick won´t turn him to face u, and u´ll got enough time be4 he realized and due to lag and all issues u´d pull it off easy.

I just recently created a new char to test this, and in fact spent from level 6 to level 20 doing nothing but kill tasks, i did no quests or grouping or solo-ing for exp, and i was getting 100% of the level on tasks alone, have they changed this recently?

hey great guide Bedroc....i ve gone for LW and Pierce...taking a chance on pierce i think but wot the hell....was thinking of my final template as : LW=50...SHIELD=42...PIERCE=34...PARRY=20....If i dont go more than 6 in pierce the damage is gonna be crap i think so thinking of up ing it to 34 for the 3 style combo...which should compensate for it..as for parry it only works in PvE well anyways......let me know what u think... maybe u can do a guide on the champion next DRAEGEN....Clan Bearhawk ( new to hibby )

Kill tasks:

U dont get 100% for the kill tasks only, u do on the other hand get exp for the mobs you kill for the tasks. Its a fact

I usually get through the lvls on my little heroine by doing kill tasks, but sometimes I run out of tasks befor the lvl ends. Depending on how well you know the mobs in your landm sometimes you can find a grey mob to kill instead of the yellow one that was intended..

I think pierce does the job in PvE. but blades do almost the same thing. Try pierce to do something different. not many have that.

Does not parry work in RvR? i thought that. Looks like a nice template. Id go higher in shield and parry if you get to lvl 40 before respec patch. and then go 42 shield, 50 LW and the rest in parry when you respec

Nice Hero Guide

One thing to add for kills at lvl 21+,do Mist Sheeries near the Tower at Bri Leith (there is a lake with big trees arround).Good and fast XP for Heros arround lvl21-24.You can solo easy Orange ones
