Bi Xeon Servers Real or Fiction

A while ago Excalibur Apparrently had so called upgrade to Bi Xeon Server. After Lies told by GOA (i.e Excalibur taken down on Saturday - I was in CM with Chops, Skylaa and Hawthorne till about 2 am Sunday morning) Does anyone believe that we actually had this upgrade or is it a figment of GOAs Imagination? If real why is performance on this server a lot worse than before the so-called upgrade?
