BGs have killed rvr

BGs are rubbish i've decided. they're just annoying. for starters, all they do is a) make higher lvl players lvl up alts to go to BGs with instead and b) take all the greys away from real rvr grounds.

I just cant have the same fun without greys to kill, its just not the same. i've been to BGs with my lvl 20 minstrel, and to be honest they're quite rubbish. i dont see the big deal, its just like normal rvr, only your doing less dmg, getting nothing out of it, and having less fun.

i honestly prefer rvr before the BGs arrived. it was more of a team spirit, now its just all the noobs/alts going to bgs, while a couple of other people wonder off to emain. oh this is only in albion tho, in midgard everyone is lvl 50 and no one does anything but rvr :/

What about those that don't have high leveled chars to play with? And you get no fun when there's no greys to kill? No comment on that.. Besides, this has been gone over already.

course not. the most satisfying thing you can do is hack down a grey.

and those that dont have high lvl chars to play are there for higher lvl players to kill! dont u see it links with the whole grey killing thing

but seriously, i really dont like them. im not just saying it, they have taken something out of normal rvr. for instance, sitting on the telepad, you'll have 20 people shouting for groups for different battlegrounds and normal rvr grounds, it takes the whole fun idea of fighting together out of the game, it divides players too much.

I don't think bg's have killed rvr. I mean when people are goin to the bg's they are going to rvr so if anything it has improved rvr for lower lvls. BUT.....
It has killed rvr for people around my lvl (36-40) in my experience as once again we are at the bottom of the food chain when we go to emain. After struggling for ages, slogging through the 30's to get close to the magic 40, rvr becoming more and more accesible with each lvl. More blues, greens, people u can kill even when hugely outnumbered (which happens a lot). This makes the massive treck to get to emain at least partially worthwhile. But now with bg's that has been ripped away from us and we are now faced with everyone being higher lvl than us again. With the occasional yellow con who you might take if u were both alone but their high lvl mates will inevitably crush u before u get to finish him off, gettting a grand total of 0rps for each massive slog to emain. This is like kicking us back to when we were just reaching lvl 30 when we didnt mind so much about getting ganked because of the novelty of rvr. Well now, i, at least do mind, i can't be bothered walking to emain just to be ganked anymore.


p.s. apologies for awfull punctuation but i've just got back from holiday and haven't been to sleep for 36+ hours (lost count)

BG's make a refreshing change from the same old crap that goes on in Emain frankly. And by the time u have ur 350 rps u feel the same way about that particular BG too no doubt.

Theres only so many times u can run to amg>crim>dc>mill>mmg>amg before it all gets a little samey. Roll on Darkness Falls where keeps as well as relics have meaning.

BG's will make RvR only better in the end, as there are suddely skilled people in Emain, as they learned how to RvR properly in the BG.
besides that, if ganking greys makes you feel uber I am sure you know your way to Yggdra. lotsa greys there. Hell, you might get lucky and XP kill a whole group. wouldn't that be 1337?

i do think BGs are pretty annoying, for a start, they have sparked off a massive stealther alt craze and soon the bg will appear empty while instead they're filled with dozens of stealthers trying to out stealth each other, greaat......
also, i was looking forward to having a few easy kills upon reaching 40 but bgs were introduced just when i hit so that oppertunity was taken from me, but thank god for the few ppl lower thn lvl 20 who brave emain, they provide sme light relief
