Went to BG2 walked around saw nothing ....decided to take the albion held central keep died...released.

So why is it everyones content to stay in bg1, Ok its quick to get an alt to 24 but once u reach 404 exp yer out of there.

Went all the way to forest sauvage as little point in going to emain at this level got ganked by a level 50 theurgist.

So not much fun to be had unless people start to use battlegrounds it was the same on my home of excaliber also.

Pity :(

I don't know its weird, I checked out the vgn forums n they say the same thing, all the yank bg2-3 are deserted too. Its probably just cos peeps will play bg1 to try out chars, get their mains cash / seals to twink their char n just have a mess about. Would be more effort to re-equip n get max stats on the other bg's. My guess anyway.

BG2

Ok...for a small test, can we have a call of arms to BG2 this weekend...friday night, 8pm bst (9pm cet). I doubt Il have made 29th season by then, trying out some things on Hibernia/Excalibur, but Im willing to become infiltrator fodder.

All three realms showing up would be nice...enough people complain that the battleground is empty, lets see you all put your money where your mouth is and buy that medallion <smiles>

Regards,
Bjodala, 50 Healer, Nyd
Kaerracian, 23 Runemaster, Nyd
Acaia, 24 Shadowblade, Nyd
Nydoi, 24 Warrior, Amazons of Midgard

Clidele, 10 Nightshade
Findicic, 10 Ranger, Na Fianna
Kesicah, 9 Mentalist

The reason BG2-3 are empty all the time is (in my opinion):
1. they look the same as thidranki, so it gets boring to go there aswell.
2. After hitting the 350 RPs you want to lvl up fast so you can join the forces in Emain/odin's/sauvage. So going to BG2 or 3 slows down your process to lvl 40+.

That's just what I think tho....

Now we have the realm point system, it seems logical to go to the BGs but still, no one goes there.

Its been over a week since we took Caledon (Caer Sutton?) and Radi upgraded the doors, and they havent even sustained a scratch! Im 34th now, and stand at 4234rp, all from the frontier, only 3 from thidranki & murd. I regularly pop my head into Caledonia still but the most ive met there since that keep take is 3, and they were all albions...

It seems albions would prefer to camp out in Lyonesse and do the same thing, over and over again - slaying pygmies/tanglers etc, or go down to DF and hunt there, earning a few XP then dying a vicious XP death to a zerg of mids/hibs charging to our merchants, right in the middle of a hack-it-up with a demoness >:

Constantly people complain that the game is getting boring, but the BGs are there to give us a break from training and get some RvR action before we're ready for the frontiers fully.

Main problems i see are that the growth of classes isnt as equal as it could be; The jump from 2* to 3* for magic users/healers/casters etc, contains some of the more useful spells for RvR, whereas most tanks recieve little more than a couple of more styles. No extra resists to counter anything we face, just different ways of hitting things. Infiltrators come into there prime when fighting PvP or RvR, as they are pitting their wits against other sentient characters, instead of AI mobs, but the posions increase viciously, the effects lasting longer and doing more damage, but tanks get no more resists to it.

Perhaps even letting a tank (merc in particular, and thats not being biased, it makes sense!) spec in a particular field of resists? Perhaps then people might realise that just because they have chain armour, doesnt make them an inferior class to a paladin or armsman...
