Just a question, do any of you BG players play full rvr, or just the BG's?

Spoken to a few recently who have given up full rvr because of the crap associated with it for the instant BG fun.

I play both, I've kinda lost intrest in BG though. BG is better when it has alot of players there, and repsectful ones - yet crap when its empty.

RvR has more active players, which is obviously more appealing.

P.S some people treat BG like it's their own RvR because they think normal RvR 'sucks'.

you playing cam? got a 50 healer there its kinda boring tho :/

Yeah more fun being qq'd by people you kill rather than on cluster you get qq'd by your own realm for not adding, or being chained by countless numbers of stealthers who all pa, 1 garrotes, they all stealth and pa some more till i'm dead or steamrolled by some fg. :D

Battlegrounds are dead now, will only be populated with a few stealthers.

I play BGs from time to time but I get bored of any char within a few days. The size of the zone seriously limits the variety of fights, especially since the vast majority of people only roam the direct routes to the CK then hang around the bridges.

I also find most random groups frustrating very quickly, while I have had a few very good ones, especially early on playing hib/glast. There are quite a few good players in BGs but there are also many totally rubbish ones, though thats usually due to lack of experience so I don't mean to seem harsh, it only takes 2-3 of them in a group to totally ruin the others efforts and negate any skilled play. In NF I can be virtually certain that assume that /as groups or even PUGs will be made of players who at least know the basics. I also fail to see why so many play assassins in the BGs. The 'duels' of PA followed by a singly backed up garrote spammed over and over again is so simple and limited that I don't see how anyone can find it fun, same goes for 2-shotting random rogged casters which make up the majority of thid players.

This is my opinion but it could be wrong as I have not attempted 50 rvr for at least 12 months.

The lack of new people to the cluster has made rvr far too leet, the same people always group to the point where forming a PuG is impossible. Even if a fairly balance pug did head out into nf they get wiped by rr10+ gank groups.

This is my experience...

Wait an hour in Dl trying to form a group
Group forms up eventually
Group runs to where the action is in nf
Group finds action
Group gets insta killed in 15 seconds
Group /releases
Group splits cos everyone thinks its everyone elses fault they died
Rinse and repeat...

For this reason I play BG's.

Having said all this I may give 50 rvr another go now my warden can spec shield. I do have a faint memory of when rvr was good and have faith it can be again.

Bye for now

BG only because I'm lazy. Would like level 50 RvR, but leveling (without a group), ToA, templating and DR is too much of a hassle for me :).

ATM rvr is kinda boring unless theres like 6+ from each realm. Mythic/ GOA need to find some incentive for players to go to BGs. Totally agree with fettokin, mostly stealthers.

bg is nice to take a break with, since generally its easier to play in bg than it is in rvr :)

True, and I play both as both are really fun although the skill level required in BG are lower ofcourse, but sometimes that can be relaxing tbh.

Thats what I don't like tbh, people judging you because you play in the bgs, I get alot of stick from people about thidranki, even though I have a mid-rr char and fairly good rvr experience.

People are just immature :<
