how do some people find out about beta tests so fast? most of the time i even hear about the game being tested its time for release. is there some special place you can sign up at or something or do you just know the right places to look?

if you have any games scoped out you should visit that games official site often and the biggest fan sites. then you shouldn't be able to miss beta.

http://www.atriarch.com/ are looking for beta testers now for yet another sci-fi mmorpg.

Not sure if it'll be good or not as it's pretty much unknown but if you get to test the software (play a game for nothing!) before release then maybe you might want to check it out.
