World of Warcraft European Closed Beta Test Starts! - 30/09/2004, 23:56

The European Closed Beta Test of World of Warcraft starts today and European gamers will be able to test the very latest version of the game, which includes the latest content and updates, following the push yesterday in North America and Korea. Moving forward, Beta Testers in Europe, North American and Korea will have access to the same content as future pushes will occur simultaneously in all territories. The European Beta Test will initially offer the English language version, and in due course the French and German language versions will be introduced to the testing process.

The game will be tested in multiple phases and the first phase of Beta Testers is currently being notified by e-mail. This notification process will continue daily over the next few days. Thereafter, additional testers will be included each time a new phase begins and they will be notified by e-mail accordingly at the time. We intend to do our utmost to include as many players as possible from the pool of those who signed up to join the European Closed Beta Test.

We would like to thank again everyone who has signed up and wish you all the very best of luck in being selected.

May our paths cross in World of Warcraft!

Im looking at the WoW public forum now, threads like "Official-I didn't get into EURO beta thread" already popping up.

As soon as you see threads popping up here and you didnt get your mail by then i think you can assume you didnt get in.

its pretty rare the average joe will get in the only people that i can think of that will be in the first closed beta is....

Games magazines
Fan sites

remember they want to have as much media attention as possible on the game at the moment so the chances of likes of me and you getting in are very slim until the next phase :(

I'm not sure, but I don't think I received a confirmation mail or something like that either.

Getting an empty forum with that link... here's a few posts from people who already got their keys though:
I see they removed it, in that thread they told the keys were sent out at that very moment.

My invite is ... delayed for some reason...yes! thats it, it will arrive very soon... ;)

Yeah... taken from the european boards:

-------------------
I was wondering if I need to download the whole game for EU beta when I am already in the US beta and have the latest version?

Or can I just change some configuration files?

Thanks in advance.

All I can say is W T F.

Could also be an european that got in the US beta tho, but even then I think its redicilous to sign up for 2 beta's. The spot could be used by someone not in yet.
