I don't have a Wii so I have no idea about the games that are available for it.

Could anyone suggest a good game that a 5yr old boy would enjoy?

Thank you!

The 'Play' games that come boxed with the controllers are great for youngsters and teach them how to use the controls. Sports which come with the main unit are also good. Apart from that I'd recommend Mario kart.

My kid's been playing them at 6.5 yrs old.

I disagree about the "play" games, waste of time and money. Get mario and sonic olympics, mario kart, rayman.

If you want to play with him then Super Mario Galaxy is good for 2 player you do the hard part of controlling Mario while your boy could collect the stars, or if he's as good as most kids these days at video games he can do the hard part while you collect the stars :)

You get the "play" set free with a controller, so I don't really see how it's a waste of money. My nephew loves the cow racing game. :p

It's for my sisters little one so I think they would prefer to leave him to it.
He likes cars as well so I think the Mario Kart will be ideal.

No you don't. You pay £5 extra for the "play" game. The wii remote is 29.99, it's 34.99 with "play".
