Best way to get ML exp?

Hi

Need some 300% on me theurg and was wondering whats best way to do this?

I mean is it better to rvr? or are certain group steps worth better mlexp?

Any advice, gratefully received

Hmm try attending ML raids you have already completed

ML4 is normally good since you go go to the arbitor a few times during the raid, made around 250% once

Normally get 90% for ML4.2 alone

Rvr = rox teh box

ml 4 = rox teh box ( around 150-250% I would say)

ml 5 pre steps = rox teh box ( about 80-100%)

ml 7 pres = rox teh box ( 80-100%)

ml 4 pres = easy as pie.. (50-70% and are piss easy)

rest of the ml's are ok I recon.. but these above, is my personal favorite for ml xp..

ML6 isnt bad either , once got 260% on it in a FG where 6 people needed the steps.
Got 100% from the 1st 3 steps and when you get to 6.3 you have plenty of time to visit the arbiter before the mob gets to the bridge.

I allways thought u got 7% per person (who needs the ml step) that is in your grp and certain mobs are ofc werth mlxp

ML5 grp steps - should give you 15% per person missing the step, per step.

ML4 grp steps - gives you 60% ml xp - be sure that you are the only one in the group who has done them. Sometimes it's bugged and will only give ml xp to ONE in the grp.

Artifacts - gives around 6% per encounter (SoM is ~6% per cryo)

Priests - gives 0-2 % per kill.

Do not try to gain ml xp from ml1... it's worthless!

This is a very interesting discussion, very useful tips so far.
I did ML5 grp steps and ML4 BG steps with my Tic on Sunday and unless there is something wrong with my UI he didn't get any MLxp at all despite being in a group who landed loads of hits on all the main mobs.
However he always gets about 25% each on 1.6 1.7 and 1.10

Best ways for MLXP:

-Join ML raids you've already done; make a group of 7 people who need the steps. Enter the zone where the ML takes place, sit in the entrance, have a coffee (or ten) and wait for the MLxp to pour in...you don't need to be with the zerg to get MLxp - just in the same zone.

(Note: this may be a little unfair if the raid is small and needs help; but if there's 179 on an ML3 they will probably thank you.)

-Kill certain mobs for XP including artifact encounters: Go to SoM, take the cloak, kill the first two statues, run out of the circle and sit down. Have a coffee. Wait 5-10 minutes, encounter will reset. Rinse and repeat until full MLxp. Same works for Golden Spear and various other encounters.

(Note: not sure if this is actually legal or not; better check first.)

-RVR: Get a decent group and RVR it. Fast and easy if you get some rps

% gained depends on your current ML and amount of people needing steps in your group, so this doesn't mean much really.

Does this encounter not reset an you have to wait for respawn if you dont kill the last one?

I've not worked it out entirely (though I'm trying to). Looks like generally if you're trying to get MLxp for ML4, say, then ML5 steps repeated give you 15% MLxp per person, ML4 steps give you 7.5% per person, ML2 steps give you about 3% per person. The higher the ML you are repeating, the more MLxp you get. The trick is to find raids that you can easily run off and visit the Arbiter on, without missing much.

ML1 - Don't get a lot of MLxp on this one.
ML2 - Easy to rejoin, generally
ML3 - If you can get to 100% by the end of the first three encounters, you can generally get back from the Arbiter and meet the zerg after Moriai. Any deeper it's much harder to join.
ML4 - Best time is whilst the raid leader is running up and down the river turning the croc heads.
ML5 - No good time to rejoin, only one BG step gives MLxp.
ML6 - Best time is when the raid leader goes to get Lateef.
ML7 - No good time to rejoin.
ML8 - Best time is when the raid leader is collecting the quest items.

I just went on other ML raids and helped on epic quests etc when I could. Its quite easy tbh.
