I was thinking something as; Paladin, Enachanter, Bard

For PBAOE exping.

But what do I know? I haven't tried PvP server yet :>

With 5 peeps we made a tank grp.

Warden, Skald, Paladin, Savage and a Berserker (thx mythic)

Still works pretty well though. Berserker Can be placed with friar or another savage. Warden bubble, baseline buffs and heal (not very good healing when specced on bub and blunt, helps though.). Skald speed mezz, snare etc. Does very good dmg even though cant take it very good. Paladin is prob the best tank there is. Enduregen (unlimited engage), slam, plate armor and af buff. Savage does sooo much damage. Self haste, buffs and such. Berserker....needs mad skillz to play. Still pretty effective though when used rightly.

The idea of such tank group is to all chars to be equally capable in battle. That i think is the basic thing in PvP server. No disrespect towards healers and buffers. Dr00d buffs are very nice for a tank group because of haste.

Then we have a stealth group too.

Crit SB, Minstrel, Scout, hunter and Shadowzerker (thx mythic)

This group is veeeeery effective. It can always attack 1 st. Critter is good for fast take out of cornerstone classes such as healers,buffers and casters, Minstrel makes the mezz and helps others to run away plus is a frontal tank. Scout is the best shotter, can be very effective on dual wield too. Depends how you want to play. Hunter and it's spear is prob the best defence the scout can have. plus very good on breaking the bladeturn of casters so the scout can crit. And last.. Shadowzerker. High evade, high stealth and little spec on poisons make this actually very nice ultralight tank.

This is not my area. I dont know alot about casters. But i can tell you this, last night we did chanter lvl 50 epic with 2 chanters, buffbot and my Zerk.

To think about it -again i know very little about casters- Chanter, Mentalist (wohoo those dots) or some ranged caster with aoe, few tanks (1 paladin for sure. warden would be pretty good choice too because of the bubble and baseline buffs. If there's not a fend runemaster.) and a buffer/healer.

By all means correct me if i'm wrong.

And last but not least if you consider to exp PvE, wich is very effective in high lvls, that caster group would be the best i think and the stealth group the worst.

Im the one who was on epic yesterday =) Bitterend / Soo
well.. about those setups i can tell u.. if u have bard, no need for healer in pve.. better dr00d or at least shammy.. u get spec buffs and haste(from dr00d) dmg add + dots+desease etc (from sham)
Bard will do speed and power regen for u =)
another option is mana ment ( good castable power regen, somewhat heal, dot, somewhat dd)
as to tanking group be rdy for sloooooow xp.. chanters make it faster..
no need for 2 paladins too.. better make one warrior one pala.. war has good dmg and uber guarding machine

so my setup for your team would be
pala - war/ warden(cant deny the use of bubble, but dont use it when pet pulling, pet should be hit do get mob damaged) - bard - chanter - chanter - dr00d/sham ( that's 6 peeps but close to perfect)

Yop, not a bad trade indeed. There is one thing though. Troll skald can do a serious amount of damage, I've seen this happening for a 50 lvls soon . Plus has insta everything. But then again group mezz and stun are uber no going around that.
high RA's make it pretty much a troll show in the end

It's about which char is most appealing to a person.

And any class played well can be highly effective. Some are easier than others.

Paladin

Paladin is a very nice tank. Played in a group with one for a 49 lvls now.

Main factors are like i mentioned before: Plate armor, af buff and endu chant (/sings who wants to tank foreveeer) plus when you bother looking at RA's of a paladin you might see alot reeeeally uber stuff there. There's no need for 2 though.

about those RA's : not alot but 1 that group insta is a life saver
